On April 02, 2019, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) unveiled the newest architectural design of the China Pavilion at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.

China Pavilion, scientific wisdom showcased in big lanterns!
Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE – Connecting Minds, Creating the Future
Themed as ‘Constructing the Community of Human Destiny – Innovation and Opportunity’, the 4,636 square meter China Pavilion will be one of the largest national pavilions in 2020.

Named as ‘The Light of China’, the pavilion is designed exteriorly as a Chinese traditional lantern, representing light, reunion, auspiciousness and happiness.

China pavilion will center on ‘Exploration and Discovery’, ‘Communication and Connection’, ‘Innovation and Cooperation’ and ‘Opportunity and Future’.
FAST (Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope), BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, 5G technology, artificial intelligence and other key exhibits will all make debut in the Expo. High-speed Railway simulation driving, intelligent network automobile, etc. will also innovatively deduce the ‘wisdom travel’.

A main square and three thematic pavilions
Expo 2020 will be held in Dubai, UAE, from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021.

The Expo 2020 Dubai grounds are designed in the shape of a flower, with Al Wasl Plaza the main square and central visitor hub that connects three, petal-shaped Thematic Districts, each dedicated to one of the Expo's sub themes: mobility, sustainability and opportunity.

Giant solar panel roofs connecting the three thematic districts with large exhibition halls located inside the photoelectric boards, and smaller ones spreading outside, rending the touring routes very clear.

Designed by Grimshaw Architects, Sustainability Pavilion can dynamically capture the solar energy, collect fresh water from the air and grow local plants inside.
