Women Power in Culinary World
Last night, the Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace organized an event celebrating the talented women chefs in the culinary world and renowned artists and designers.
If you didn't get the chance to go last night, worry not! The event continues from tonight until Saturday, June 28th. Featuring everything from cooking classes, degustation dinners, a charity reception and a gala dinner in many dining venues of the hotel - it's definitely worth a visit.
All funds collected during the reception will go directly to Project Hope, a charity supporting young dropouts in poverty-stricken areas through Hope Schools, vocational education and scholarships for college and university students.
The international renowned culinary professionals are from all around the globe:
Michelin Sofie Dumont 3-star chef who is the first female finalist at the culinary competition "Prosper Montagne" and "Chef of the Year 2009" in Belgium.
Francesca Simoni who is the Executive Chef at Amerigo 1934 Trattoria in Italy, 1-star Michelin from 1998.
Two of Israel’s TV stars Michal Ansky and Ruthie Rousso who are top judges at "Master Chef ISR" and "Iron Chef”.
American-Chinese Kelley Lee is the talented chef, entrepreneur and mastermind behind some of Shanghai’s most famous and well-loved eateries (Boxing Cat Brewery, Cantina Agave, and Sproutworks).
Malika Ameen from Chicago was voted "Best Pastry Chef" by Angeleno.
Cher D. Harris won "Pastry Queen 2014”.
Famous award winning master chef Jamie Leeds from Washington.
Award winning Nelly Grossi from Abu Dhabi.
Artisan cheese expert Juliet Harbutt.
1-star Michelin Sommelier Saskia Schurink.
The talented Dutch artist Margareth Meulmeester.
The Chinese fashion designers Luna Li and Zhang Jingjing.
