2. Hop Project

The place: Part grilled cheese joint, part beer brewery situated on Yongkong Lu. Join other local beer nerds in a revelation of beer upwards of eight percent and alcohol of other equally impressive endeavors. And to give every smoggy day a silver lining, the Hop Project is offering a special deal on Jing A's Airpocalypse Double IPA every day of the week. The place: They might be one of Shanghai's longest lasting F&B chains, but you'd be forgiven for thinking you've left China once you cross the thresholds of these popular brewery bars. Great hand-crafted beer (six styles), tasty food with international flavors and big screen live sports in selected locations.

13. Boxing Cat Brewery

The place: A classic fixture in the French Concession that offers all the comforts of home. And by home, we mean the United States. And by comforts, we mean...booze!

14. Roxie

The place: Slightly off the beaten bush is Roxie on Wuding Lu, where it's ladies' night every night. A popular spot with the lesbian community, this bar has both a dance floor and plenty of tables to chill at, as well as a weekly roster of events.

The place: The Bull & Claw boasts eighteen beers on tap (which are unfortunately exempt from their happy hour, but we'll still drink to that!) Their motto is 'do it right,' and it seems fitting. Have your drinks with a little steak and lobster, their specialities.

18. The Cut (IAPM)

The place: A far cry from 'the cuts,' The Cut promises to give you the essentials in life: steak, fries, salad and perhaps even more essential – a reasonably priced happy hour. All can be enjoyed on their rooftop terrace in the lavish IAPM mall.

19. The Shed

The place: A no-frills sports bar offering darts, television and great, cheap drink deals. We daresay half off all drinks is a power move that is going to pay off handsomely, for both the Shed and its happy hour partakers. Note also the RMB2 wing night, which runs every Wednesday starting at 7pm.

20. Morton's

The place: The Morton’s name speaks for itself, conjuring up images of generous portions of steak and seafood. They might not have free-flow filet mignon sandwiches anymore, but the RMB45 drinks offer still stands, and the bar food menu is full of wallet friendly options, including a trio of startlingly large cheeseburger sliders for RMB68.
The deal: Power hour! RMB45 [plus 10 percent service charge] per drink (with five options). They also have tons of bar bites for a reduced price starting at RMB40.
