Let’s be honest: not everyone in your WeChat contacts list is a friend.
So if the thought of semi-strangers scrolling through your super old WeChat Moments creeps you out, it’s probably time you changed your privacy settings. In the past, WeChat users looking to draw their digital curtains faced a tough choice: make their Moments viewable for up to three days, six months or all the time.
On May 5, WeChat addressed this function by launching a new Android and iOS version (7.0.4), which offers users the new option of making their Moments viewable for up to one month.
According to GDToday, over 300 million WeChat users set their Moments to be viewable for up to three days when that privacy feature was released two years ago. But with the new one-month privacy setting now available, users may opt to show a little more of their life on the cloud.
