6 New Places Worth Visiting During China Tourism Day

By Yuzhou Hu, 2019-05-08 09:26:16

China Tourism Day is on Sunday May 19. To celebrate the special occasion, 70 tourist attractions across the city will offer half-price promotions that day, reports Shine.

It’s no surprise that the most iconic tourist spots around town are on the half-price list: Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Wild Animal Park, Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, Shanghai Changfeng Ocean World and Shanghai Disney Resort. Because most of us who live in Shanghai have visited these places more than once, we put together a list of new family-friendly destinations that are offering the 50% off promotion.

With six exhibition pavilions spread out across the venue, the ocean park gives tourists an opportunity to meet polar bears, penguins and white whales. It is worth noting that May 19 is a Sunday, so we suggest avoiding peak hours at these venues. Otherwise, you may encounter the horrible congestion, which we just experienced over the Labor Day holiday.
