A Sneak Peek at the First Zoolung Zoolung Petting Zoo in Shanghai
Attention! First Yaohan Shanghai opened a petting zoo, Zoolung Zoolung (주렁주렁), similar to its counterpart in Seoul with more than 60 types of really cute animals.
The naughty raccoon, the hamster with really huge cheeks, and the sugar glider who has a sweet tooth and loves to sneak into your pocket …
With so many adorable fluffy little animals, one can never be satisfied with just viewing them online.
Shanghai’s very first Zoolung Zoolung
Opened on June 6, 2019, this 5,000 square meter petting zoo is located on the 10th floor of First Yaohan Shanghai, providing you a scientific tour basking in the breath of nature and great fun.
So how fun will it be?

You will start your advantage inside a nautical room. Over there, the tree of life is burning. The captain will lead the explorers to Zoolung Zoolung island where pets, humans and elves co-inhabit. It is a journey with a mission to save the tree of life.
Starting from the Mist of Dock, we will pass the ancient valley and cross the ‘bird language grottos’, enjoying magical experiences in 17 different scenes.

The explorers will also be guided by the elves to find the mysterious stamps hidden in the forest. After collecting all the stamps, you can open a lucky treasure box to get a piece of gift!
The touring route is designed for you to experience a kind of ‘supernatural power’ to be able to ‘ascending to the sky’ and ‘exploring the deep sea’.
‘Ascending to the sky’ allows you to climb up to the top of ‘tree’ and shuttle among tree houses.
‘Exploring the deep sea’ will take you down to the tunnels and get a full view of marine life.
Close contact with cute animals
A great number of adorable animals have already checked in, among them many are the ‘master of disguise’ whose hideouts are really difficult to make out.
Can you find the chameleons who cleverly bleed into the environment?
Whose home is this in that glass cabinet exquisitely made but somehow in the raw?
Many places in there are set with such net-like dictyo-tunnels, so if you happen to look up, you will see small creatures pattering around romping with one another.
What’s more exciting is this is a petting zoo, meaning you can touch, hug and feed them!
Special reminder: Zoolung Zoolung has special feeds for the animals. Do not bring your own food.
With a handful of bird feed, Gouldian Finch may fly onto your palm.
There is a little secret to share: when you find birds are staring at your feed, keep your hand unmoved so the chance to befriend them will increase.
Rabbits here love to eat green vegetables and radishes.
Toucans are the leading actors here, but their impressive bills are only in fond of little blueberries.
The big capybaras is actually gentle and even timid. Lettuce is their favorite.
