This exciting interpretation of William Shakespeare's classic tragedy will be performed at 1862 Theatre on November 16 and 17. In this rendition, a modern-day couple dream about entering the universe of Macbeth which takes place in China in the past. The couple assume the roles of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. During their quest they go on a variety of adventures, but after they return to the real world, they are forced to come to terms with their altered selves in this turbulent, contemporary world.

The performance is inspired by traditions of Asian theater and was created by the acclaimed Hong Kong director Tang Shu-wing. The multi-dimensional characters, the journey through time and space, and the unique interplay of the body, music and mise-en-scène makes for one captivating performance.
