The New Pain Chaud Jiuguang Shop just opened!

Tuesday the 14th of July was the official opening day together with Pain Chaud’s 7th Anniversary.

Pain Chaud Jiuguang Shop is located on the side road of the fashionable and succesful Jiuguang Department Store, just across the street from the famous Jing'an Temple.  In an ideal combination of Chinese culture and global fashion, Pain Chaud’s new shop design portrays authenticity and elegance, whilst keeping it warm and simple.

With it’s well known arch structure, the Pain Chaud Jiuguang shop front design is very welcoming.  Mixing warm wood with the modernity of the smooth grey concrete is an invitation to enter and taste our high quality bread and coffee. Our vision is to bring French style bakeries to Shanghai, where the aroma of freshly baked bread entices customers into the shop.

The minimalist shop design is geared to elevate the product as the hero of the visit. French bread and fine desserts of high quality are at the center of the display counters, with the intense aroma of freshly baked croissants. From the Barrista area, where delicious coffees and drinks are being prepared and at the end of the counter one can witness the bakers preparing the fresh breads and viennoiseries in the best artisanal French tradition. On the shop walls the Jean-Pierre Busson's exhibition “Les rues de Shanghai”, reminds people of  different city memories.

Sitting inside by the window, with a cup of fragrant coffee, together with a crispy but soft croissant, reading a book and watching the world go by simply bliss!

Time flies, Pain Chaud has grown from a small shop on Yongkang Road to a brand-new French bakery brand with four shops.

Pain Chaud always makes sure to use the best raw materials and ingredients from France and around the World. Using a selection of recipes and chefs' creativity whilst following the traditional artisanal French bread “savoir faire”, we are delighted to bring the traditional French culture to this new neighborhood.

Pain Chaud look forward to welcoming you soon to discover its full extent of products, from early breakfast to lunch or dinner, to sit-in or to take away.

Your daily smile store.

Bon Appétit!
