LOST GENERAL x Crocs Ten-day Immersive Exhibition Lands in Shanghai

Shanghai, China (August 20, 2020) - Crocs, Inc. (NASDAQ: CROX), a global leader in innovative casual footwear for women, men and children, partners with Chinese avant-garde fashion designer brand, LOST GENERAL, to launch an exclusive collaboration ‘Midsummer Night Party’. The collection is inspired by the most representative summer memories of the 90s, incorporating Crocs classic comfort and the versatility of the fashion forerunner LOST GENERAL, setting off a retro trend. As the first co-branded collection between Crocs and the Chinese avant-garde fashion designer brand, Crocs closely integrates the preferences and needs of Chinese contemporary young people, while bringing comfort and fashion to consumers. It not only reflects this in the look of the collaboration, but also it invites all to "Come As You Are" from the inside. 

To celebrate this one-of-a-kind collaboration, on August 20th, Crocs launched a ten-day “Midsummer Night Party” immersive exhibition in TX Huaihai, Shanghai. The summer space hidden indoors together with the bright retro colors brings back one’s childhood memories about summer, and gives a tour to the innocent summer time of childhood.

On the opening day of the exhibition, Crocs Brand Experience Officers, young actress Zhou Yutong and member of male idol group “X NINE” Wu Jiacheng, appeared for the event and experienced the whole journey. They shared their experience and encouraged consumers to unlock the new formula for comfort and fashion of LOST GENERAL x Crocs, and invited everyone to “Come As You Are.”

#ComeAsYouAre# - a journey of fun graffiti

With the “input” of the LOST GENERAL x Crocs code, which is like the secret codes flowing in a virtual space, consumers embark on a journey in the carefree universe of LOST GENERAL x Crocs. Stepping into the retro industrial carriage, inspirational declaration for the “Midsummer Night Party” collection appears in the form of graffiti, awakening the comfort of Zhou Yutong and Wu Jiacheng from deep inside. They painted their statement on graffti wall, to break formality with freedom and kick off a fun summer.

#ComeAsYouAre# - an exploration of the secrets of summer

The exhibition consists of three immersive spaces, including: Summer Taste, Summer Smell and Summer Fun.  Each space brings together the most representative summer memories, leading Crocs Brand Experience Officers Zhou Yutong and Wu Jiacheng to explore an infinite midsummer.

Zhou Yutong enjoyed the Summer Taste in sweet fairy-tale candy house, and experience the colorful candy installation, bright lemon yellow pool and  ‘delicious’ funny JibbitzTM charm filling the candy machine. Wu Jiacheng picked some cute JibbitzTM in this colorful summer world to show consumers the fun and taste of midsummer.

In the Summer Fun space, paradise is created with plentiful daisies and a smell of freshness and romance, while also surrounding Zhou Yutong with super dreamy mirrors and a natural grassland. In a summer with a fairy-like atmosphere, it will be irresistible magic for visitors to swing back and forth like Zhou Yutong for a smell of the blooming flowers in an exquisite retro style.

In the space of Summer Fun, Zhou Yutong and Wu Jiacheng together organized a cool party for everyone, inviting them with the glowing neon ball lights and funky music. Feeling like getting back to childhood while playing the retro game, visitors here can enjoy the fun of midsummer and retro fashion.

A pop-up store for the co-branded series will also be featured at the exhibition.
