Over the weekend of October 24-25, the Shanghai community came together to enjoy the spooky season with activities and games for all. To celebrate Halloween, ARCHWALK teamed up with Shanghai Urban Family to create a ghoulishly-perfect family event. Including a range of activities, costume parades and musical performances, it was a weekend for children to cherish.

To kick off the festivities, kids received a candy bag on arrival.

The action continued with an exhilarating skateboard performance by ICONX.

Families were swept up in the interactive games. They also took the time to stroll around the market bazaar and meet many Shanghai-based companies offering services to families including Trick or Fashion by Harmony Class ,Halloween Magic Party by Maggie & Rose and Handmade desserts by Miboi.

Our four friends, Maggie, Rose, Oscar and Bentley, also joined us at our spooky spot! With pumpkin masks, ghosts, and frightening face painting, our haunted house created a Halloween world for little ones to have some frightful fun! We recorded our families having the best of together time, enjoying the day, surrounded by Halloween happiness!

Meanwhile, Harmony Class, which focuses on providing art after-school courses for Shanghai International School, has also prepared a Cosplay session for students in the international community around Shanghai Archwalk shopping mall, who aims to enhance the students’ creativity, skill gains and life vision by offering a spectrum of original courses and workshops that embolden the matching of the art and design.

The entertainment continued with students from Shanghai Liaoyuan Bilingual School and Emma Music Family displaying their musical talents. This was followed by a parade, where kids showed off their creative and whacky costumes as they went trick-or-treating around Shanghai ARCHWALK.

The wonderful scientific experiment show from Mad Science is an eye-opener for children.

On October 25, the symphony performance NACIS kept audiences on their feet. The kids also immersed themselves in the Halloween spirit by dressing up in funky and spooky costumes.

Let’s not forget all the prizes that were awarded over the weekend! Kids walked away with gift bags that included plush toys and accessories. generous supplies of coupons to some of the top family-friendly venues around town were given away.

Children and parents attended the event, declaring it a tremendous success. As prizes were given for the best costumes and the mall emptied, happy faces were seen on all children who attended the Urban Family Kids Halloween Weekend.
