Ferrero brand Kinder is pleased to announce the recent launch of Applaydu, a new mobile app designed for children aged 4-9 years old. The app brings Kinder toys to life through augmented reality, leading children into a fun world of discovery and imagination. The Applaydu app aims to provide interactive parent-child bonding where family members can discover and enjoy the digital world together. Uncle KAI, an influencer of child content and the founder of Kaishu story app is invited to be the experience officer of Applaydu app. The app is available for free download from the App Store and Android Application Store, with all in-app functions unlocked.
As a snack brand designed and created for children under the Ferrero Group, Kinder is committed to creating happy times for the positive growth of children. Now, Kinder has launched the Applaydu app, with the aim to support the growth of the next generation of "digital natives". Today, digitalization has penetrated all aspects of children's growth at an alarming rate while becoming one of the primary means for children to understand the world around them and communicate with others. According to PwC's Kids Digital Media Report 2019, one-third of internet users globally are children. Their weekly internet consumption has increased year-on-year and parents need to leverage high-quality digital content to safeguard the healthy digital life of their children. Meanwhile, reshaping the parent-child relationship in the digital age also requires the use of new digital tools.
The Applaydu app was developed with this context in mind. The novel and interactive experience fosters deeper meaning to children's time in the virtual world. The Applaydu app lets these children have more communication and interaction with parents. Last year, Kinder helped renovate rooms for children from low-income families through the charity project "Renewing Your Home" and Kinder hopes to further implement the brand's care and commitment to children.
