Kerry Centre in Jing’An held its annual Christmas Lighting ceremony on November 18, with the theme "DISCOVER JOYOUS LOVE" at THE PIAZZA. 

The bustling shopping centre is now covered in snow, and visitors can experience a traditional yet romantic atmosphere that is filled with love and joy.

As nightfall approached, the Christmas tree at Jing’An Kerry Centre officially lit up, with many surprises awaiting.

In the presence of guests and visitors, the main attraction was ignited with of love, people stood on their tip toes, surrounded by the glistening stars. As the lights switched on, everyone celebrated this wonderful world that love brings, and felt the purity and freedom this festival has to offer through singing and dancing.

The purpose of the ceremony is not just about switching on the Christmas tree, but also to allow the guests to experience the beauty and warmth of winter through a multi-dimensional experience of sound, light and shadow, and to feel the flow of love and joy together. 

This year, the art installation at the Jing’An Kerry Centre was designed to represent the purity of snow and the lushness of greenery, and finally, dribbled with starlight on top, to allow the visitors to sense love and discover beauty around them. 

On the fourth floors of the mall, the area is now a majestic forest of snow and ice, strolling through it will immediately make anyone forget about the long and tedious winter ahead. Passing through the winding paths on B2 level feels like a descending cascade the time, awaiting the arrival of the right magical moment; and telescopes are placed in the north and south corridors on the third floor, not only allows the user to see the stars that guide us ahead, but also becomes a mysterious place to explore the secrets of the Christmas tree.

Story-telling Treehouse, bringing love back home

With the theme of "DISCOVER JOYOUS LOVE", this year's Christmas tree installation is decorated with a traditional look, but with a twist. 

Inspired by the tree house of love, the ornament invites people to come back and discover the purest emotions. Surrounded by evergreen trees, with the breath of love, the story this treehouse represents is the curiosity of love in winter; you hear the mechanical gears nibbling, and sound of heart beating, the singing of happy birds… it automatically gets anyone in the mood for Christmas.

Twin-market that you can’t afford to miss

The Christmas Market and the Green Escape ^St. are two of the main highlights at annual festival, and this year, the traditional Christmas theme got a 'new look'.

From November 20 to December 26, not only will the festival offer a new social lifestyle in a green and relaxed atmosphere, the Green Escape ^St. will also bring a unique selection of traditional cuisines from around the world for you to explore. 

Starting from December 3, the Christmas Market at THE PIAZZA section of the Kerry Centre will feature live bands, cappella and parades, as well as a series of themed interactions. The romantic winter market is wrapped in a snowy atmosphere, where you can reap the joy of love and light up your memories.

A wonderful place to celebrate the festive season

During the "DISCOVER JOYOUS LOVE" campaign, JAKC at the Jing’An Kerry Centre will offer a wide range of activities for different groups of people, organised by THE GREENHOUSE, KNETIC, KKIDS and many more activities for everyone attending. During the festive season, people can explore various sensory experiences, discover new urban lifestyles, and let joy and love enrich their minds and bodies.

01. Love is sharing: sharing food with loved ones

Sharing with your loved ones has just got more meaningful this year, as the GREENHOUSE has designed a natural and relaxed atmosphere for the urban population, by innovating a new social platform that connects the online with the offline. Here, food is a social opportunity, people can talk about their favourite dishes and exchange their views, and feel love and joy through social communication.

Gathering for Fun

THE GREENHOUSE is a fun-filled offline space designed to break barriers, with a three-fold function of dining, socialising and event space for everyone. This year, four charity dinner parties will be held at this space, featuring a range of activities such as meditation, art workshops, handcrafted drinks and games to make people's social life more entertaining.

Food for Love

People will be gathered here by their passion for food, and they can share love through it. During the event, THE GREENHOUSE will collaborate with CHIFAN for Charity, Pickup China and other organisations to donate profits to charity projects, adding meaningful touches to this holiday event.

02. Love is small: treat yourself in small ways

Even when life gets busy, you got to remember to love yourself.

KINETIC is a place for young office workers to revive their passion for life and enjoy life in the smallest of ways.

During this period, KINETIC, a private work life platform for the urban elites, will be hosting a series of community experiences at its offline space, on the 3rd floor of the eastern Kerry Centre. Numerous one-hour activities will take place during lunch breaks, after-work and on weekdays, such as: resting, arts and craft, yoga, concert and movie watching. 

On Thanksgiving, an “unplugged” yoga session, a sharing conference and a sustainable food crafting experiences will be held. Then running up toward Christmas, bands, stand-up comedies, magic shows will eventually unfold.

03. Love is special: a time to make lasting parental memories

KKIDS will be offering unique parent-child experience sessions at the event, such as drawing children's wishes, hand-made gingerbread men, arts&crafts, and many more. Tradition festive activities will also be available for parents and children to enjoy.
